I help organisations deliver complex, technology-enabled change — from secure IT systems and digital services through to business transformation and organisational capability development.

With over 20 years of experience working primarily in central government and defence, I've built a reputation for stepping into challenging environments, establishing control, and delivering. I'm equally comfortable in the technical weeds as I am managing senior stakeholders, and I bring a practical, no-nonsense approach to every engagement.

Since 2013 I've operated as an independent contractor through AMO Project Management Limited, working with organisations including MoD, MoJ, HMCTS, FCDO, and Defra.

I hold the APM Practitioner Qualification and am a Full Member of the Association for Project Management.

Project and programme management

Leading complex technology-enabled projects and programmes from business case through to transition to operations. Experienced across the full delivery lifecycle, in both agile and traditional environments, managing budgets exceeding £10M and delivering to stringent security, commercial, and governance requirements.

Delivery management

Guiding blended internal and supplier teams through the delivery of digital services and IT solutions, ensuring compliance with the Government Service Standard and other applicable frameworks. Experienced in establishing effective ways of working, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum through ambiguity.

PMO consultancy and capability development

Drawing on experience as a project office section lead and deputy portfolio theme lead to help organisations assess and improve their delivery capability. This includes developing planning and risk management standards, mentoring and developing project managers, and establishing the governance structures and practices that underpin reliable delivery.

Contact centre transformation Central Government

Led the core technical delivery of a multi-channel contact centre solution encompassing telephony, email, and web messaging, replacing an end-of-life legacy system and contributing to significant whole-life cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

Telephony and infrastructure transformation Central Government

Led a large-scale replacement of an end-of-life telephony infrastructure, delivering to over 6,000 users and enabling substantial cost avoidance and cashable benefits through a combination of technical delivery and business change.

Brexit policy and process delivery Central Government

Managed a rapidly mobilised project to develop export policy, processes, and guidance for high-risk agri-food products ahead of a hard statutory deadline, establishing certification and testing capability for a high volume of annual consignments.

Records management system Arms Length Body

Led procurement and implementation of a cloud-based records management solution for a very large physical records collection, replacing a decade-old legacy system that had become a security risk, and closing a long-term entry on the corporate risk register.

Government digital service Central Government

Appointed to unblock and reinvigorate a stalled digital service that had lost stakeholder confidence, resolving outstanding assurance issues and establishing a clear path to public beta.
